IPTV on Android TV: Setup and App Guide
Android TV is used by a wide range of manufacturers' streaming boxes and smart TVs, giving it one of the broadest IPTV app selections of any TV platform.
Why Android TV supports so many IPTV apps
Because Android TV is built on the same underlying platform as Android phones, many IPTV developers build for it directly, and a large number of apps are listed on the Google Play Store. Devices using Android TV include various branded streaming boxes, NVIDIA Shield TV, and many manufacturers' smart TVs.
Installing an IPTV app
Most Android TV IPTV apps can be installed directly from the Google Play Store on the device. Where an app isn't listed on Play, some Android TV devices also support installing an APK file directly, though this varies by manufacturer and is a more advanced option. See our apps overview for commonly used players.
